Tip 27) Believe God Provides Answers to Prayer like He Provides Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We are saved by grace though faith. Our prayers are answered the same way... by grace through faith.

[Eph 2:8-9 NKJV] 8 For by grace you have been saved [Gr. sozo] through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

[The Greek word ‘sozo’ shows up 110 times in the N.T. It is usually translated as the word “saved.” For example:]

[Mat 1:21 NKJV] 21 "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save [Gr. sozo] His people from their sins."

[But often the word is used in the context of healing and translated as “made well,” or “healed.” This N.T. word for healing doesn’t differentiate between salvation and healing. It’s the same word. Here are a dozen passages where ‘sozo’ shows up in the context of healing.]

[Mat 9:21-22 NKJV] 21 For she said to herself, "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well." 22 But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.

[Mat 27:42 NKJV] 42 "He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him.

[Mar 3:4 NKJV] 4 Then He said to them, "Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?" But they kept silent.

[Mar 6:56 NKJV] 56 Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.

[Mar 10:52 NKJV] 52 Then Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your faith has made you well." And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

[Luk 17:19 NKJV] 19 And He said to him, "Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well."

[Luk 18:42 NKJV] 42 Then Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has made you well."

[Jhn 11:12 NKJV] 12 Then His disciples said, "Lord, if he sleeps he will get well."

[Act 4:9 NKJV] 9 "If we this day are judged for a good deed [done] to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well,

[Act 14:9 NKJV] 9 [This] man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed,

[Jas 5:15 NKJV] 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

[If we can believe God will save us when we confess Him as our Savior, we should believe He will save us from sickness and other trials with the same certainty when we confess His promises we are standing on. This is consistent with Isaiah’s prophecy.]

[Isa 53:4-5 NKJV] 4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He [was] wounded for our transgressions, [He was] bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace [was] upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

[Scriptures equates Jesus’s suffering for our sins—up to and on the cross—as saving us both spiritually and physically.Just because in this world we don’t always see healing or salvation doesn’t negate what Scriptures promises. When it comes to healing, just as in salvation, God is not the variable. Satan is trying to deceive us and rob us of both our physical healing and salvation through thoughts of unbelief and double-mindedness.]
