[Mat 6:9-13 NKJV] 9 "In this manner, therefore, pray: [Praise] Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 [Petition] Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven [In Heaven there is no sin, sickness, poverty, discord, Jesus wants us to pray/ask/petition Him for these things to happen on earth as they do in Heaven]. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. [Praise] For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
[God already knows our needs/petitions/ supplications before we ask and pray. He models in this prayer how to bring up our needs. And that is surrounded in a sandwich of praise. Praise is powerful. Jesus provides commentary on the praise mentioned in Psa. 8:2 by modifying it when He quotes it to the priests and scribes telling Him to rebuke His followers for praising Him as the promised one, the Messiah, son of David.]
[Mat 21:15-16 NKJV] 15 But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" they were indignant 16 and said to Him, "Do You hear what these are saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Have you never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise'?"
[Psa 8:2 NKJV] 2 Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.
[Jesus didn’t accidently miss quote Scriptures. He deliberately exchanged the words “perfected praise” for “ordained strength,” thereby equating praise with strength to silence the enemy and the avenger – that is Satan, the originator of all lies and evil in the world. The more time we spend in praise and joy, the more power and strength our prayers have in fulfilling the Lord’s purpose—to destroy the works of Satan.]
[1Jo 3:8 NKJV] 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
[Neh 8:10 NKJV] 10 Then he said to them, "Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for [this] day [is] holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."
[Most of your prayer time should be spent praising Jesus in the Joy of the Lord which is strength that silences the lies of that devil, Satan. Praise is one of the most powerful ways to resist the devil and watch him flee (Jam 4:7-8).]
