[A common prayer I used to regularly pray is “God please be with us this week,” or “God please go with us.” These prayers are not wrong, but they ignore what God’s word says.]
[Mat 28:20 NKJV] 20 "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, [even] to the end of the age." Amen.
[1Co 6:19 NKJV] 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit [who is] in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
[Heb 13:5 NKJV] 5 …For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
[to ask God to be with us is to say to God that you don’t know or believe His Word. The latter is a form of double-mindedness. Like looking away from the mirror and forgetting the true reality and kind of person we are as Jesus imitators.]
[Jas 1:23-24 NKJV] 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
[Eph 5:1 NKJV] 1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.
[This is what we are according to the mirror of God’s Word. Dare we believe God’s Word?]
[Rom 6:11, 13 NKJV] 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. ... 13 And do not present your members [as] instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness to God.
[2Co 5:21 KJV] 21 For he made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
[2Co 5:17 NKJV] 17 Therefore, if anyone [is] in Christ, [he is] a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
[2Co 4:8-9 NKJV] 8 [We are] hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; [we are] perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—
[Rom 8:37 NKJV] 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
[1Jo 5:4 NKJV] 4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.
[Believe that you are dead to sin, the righteousness of God, that you have been given a new Spirit from God and the old spirit has passed away, that you are more than a conqueror, that has overcome the trials and tribulations of this world. That is what the mirror says who you are once you have prayed a prayer like the one found in tip 2) The Best Prayer You Can Ever Pray.
